Romain Tardy lives and works in Brussels, and he resists what he sees as an unnecessary balkanization of artists and of art. He writes: "I create installations, I direct movies, I do art direction, I design still and animated things (some are big, some are small. I am not a digital artist."
Romain co-founded the European visual label ANTIVJ, and has been active as an artist in this group from 2008 until late 2013. ANTIVJ has created and produced groundbreaking and crowd-pleasing installations at festivals and locations around the world for the last decade, many of them expanding the limits and definitions of projection mapping and projection art.
